- 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup triple sec
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup (optional)
- Ice, as needed
- Lime wedges and salt for rimming (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp, if desired.
- Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Rim glasses with lime wedge and dip in salt, if desired.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with mint leaves or lime wedges if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup based on your watermelon’s natural sweetness.
- Use frozen watermelon cubes to chill the drink without diluting it.
- This recipe can be made ahead and kept chilled for a few hours before serving.
