Description

Tuna Tartare Tostada with Chipotle Mayonnaise is a bold and flavorful appetizer that combines fresh tuna with crispy tostadas and creamy, smoky chipotle mayonnaise, offering a balance of textures and flavors.


Ingredients

  • Flour tortillas
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh tuna (sushi grade)
  • Avocados
  • Lime juice
  • Cilantro
  • Red onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • Mayonnaise


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush the flour tortillas lightly with olive oil and bake them in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden.
  3. While the tostadas are baking, dice the fresh tuna into small cubes and place it in a mixing bowl.
  4. Dice the avocado, finely chop the cilantro, and finely chop the red onion, then add them to the bowl with the tuna.
  5. Squeeze in the lime juice and season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Gently toss everything together.
  6. For the chipotle mayonnaise, blend the mayonnaise with the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Start with one pepper and add more for extra heat if desired.
  7. Once the tostadas are ready, place them on serving plates and top with the tuna tartare mixture.
  8. Drizzle the chipotle mayonnaise over the top, and garnish with extra cilantro if desired.
