Description

A creamy, tangy and mildly spicy horseradish‑mayonnaise sauce from Baltimore, perfect with roast beef, seafood, fries, and sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup prepared horseradish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, horseradish, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 1 hour) to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve chilled alongside roast beef, sandwiches, fried foods, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Adjust heat by adding more or less horseradish.
  • For a lighter version, substitute part of the mayo with sour cream.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge, use within about a week.
