Description
A creamy, tangy and mildly spicy horseradish‑mayonnaise sauce from Baltimore, perfect with roast beef, seafood, fries, and sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup prepared horseradish
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, horseradish, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Stir until smooth and well blended.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 1 hour) to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled alongside roast beef, sandwiches, fried foods, or vegetables.
Notes
- Adjust heat by adding more or less horseradish.
- For a lighter version, substitute part of the mayo with sour cream.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge, use within about a week.
