Description

A creamy, tangy and slightly sweet salad dressing and sandwich spread made with mayo, ketchup, and pickle relish.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish until smooth.
  2. Stir in the finely chopped onion.
  3. Add vinegar, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; whisk to combine.
  4. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  6. Serve chilled over salads, as a dip, or on sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a chunkier texture, use chunky style pickle relish or finely dice pickles instead.
  • Adjust sweetness or tang by varying sugar or vinegar to taste.
  • Can store in the fridge, in a sealed container, for up to one week.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half the mayonnaise with half Greek yogurt.
