Description
A creamy, tangy and slightly sweet salad dressing and sandwich spread made with mayo, ketchup, and pickle relish.
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, and sweet pickle relish until smooth.
- Stir in the finely chopped onion.
- Add vinegar, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce; whisk to combine.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Serve chilled over salads, as a dip, or on sandwiches.
Notes
- For a chunkier texture, use chunky style pickle relish or finely dice pickles instead.
- Adjust sweetness or tang by varying sugar or vinegar to taste.
- Can store in the fridge, in a sealed container, for up to one week.
- For a lighter version, substitute half the mayonnaise with half Greek yogurt.
