Ingredients
- 1 ¼ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1½ tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ¼ tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch.
- Pour sauce over the chicken and stir until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
- Serve over rice or steamed vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
