Description

Tater Tot Casserole is a comforting, all-in-one dish layered with seasoned ground beef, creamy soup, cheese, and crispy tater tots—perfect for busy weeknights or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Spread beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  5. Arrange frozen tater tots on top in a single layer. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until bubbly and tots are golden and crispy.
  7. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
