Description

A light, airy, and creamy strawberry mousse made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tbsp cold water
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Fresh strawberries and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Heat the gelatin mixture gently until fully dissolved, then stir into the strawberry puree.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses and chill for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe and sweet strawberries.
  • You can substitute gelatin with agar-agar for a vegetarian option.
  • Adjust sugar to taste based on the sweetness of your strawberries.
