Description

Simple and delicious sautéed asparagus, cooked to perfection with garlic and olive oil for a quick and healthy side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus stalks.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the asparagus and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and lightly browned.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Thinner asparagus cooks faster than thick stalks; adjust cook time accordingly.
