Festive Red, White, and Blue M&M Cookie Bars that are chewy, buttery, and perfect for patriotic holidays like the 4th of July.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 cups Red, White, and Blue M&Ms, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and 1 cup of M&Ms.
- Spread dough evenly in the prepared pan and press remaining M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Don’t overbake to maintain soft and chewy texture.
- You can use other seasonal M&Ms for different holidays.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
