Ingredients
- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or mini pepperoni
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and gently roll out to smooth creases.
- Use a Christmas tree-shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many trees as possible.
- Place pastry trees on prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each tree lightly with pizza sauce, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.
- Add pepperoni slices and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Brush edges of pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
