Description

Fun and festive Patriotic Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes made with colorful cake batter and served in cones—perfect for summer celebrations like the 4th of July.


Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • 24 flat-bottom ice cream cones
  • 1 container vanilla frosting
  • Patriotic sprinkles
  • Red, white, and blue star decorations (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix by combining cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat according to package directions.
  3. Divide the batter evenly into three bowls. Leave one white, tint one red, and one blue using food coloring.
  4. Place cones upright in muffin tins for stability.
  5. Spoon a small amount of each color batter into the cones, layering the colors.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool completely.
  8. Frost with vanilla frosting and decorate with patriotic sprinkles and star decorations.
