- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup vanilla frosting
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and immediately press down the center of each cookie cup with a spoon.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Pipe or spoon vanilla frosting into the center of each cookie cup.
- Top with red, white, and blue sprinkles. Serve and enjoy!
