Description

Oven Roasted Turkey Breast is a juicy, flavorful main dish with crispy golden skin, seasoned simply and baked to perfection—ideal for small gatherings or easy holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 (4–6 lb) bone-in, skin-on turkey breast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (optional): thyme, rosemary, sage

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil (or butter) with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and paprika.
  3. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the turkey breast, including under the skin if possible.
  4. Place lemon halves and optional fresh herbs in a roasting pan or under the turkey rack.
  5. Place turkey breast skin-side up on a rack in the pan. Roast uncovered for 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
  6. Let turkey rest for 15 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfectly cooked turkey without overbaking.
  • For extra crispy skin, broil the last 3–5 minutes—watch carefully.
  • Leftovers make excellent sandwiches or salads.
