Description

A sweet, tangy, and savory glaze that caramelizes beautifully over meatloaf, adding flavor and a shiny finish.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp onion powder (optional)
  • Pinch of black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth.
  2. Spoon or brush half the glaze over meatloaf during the last 20–30 minutes of baking.
  3. After baking, brush remaining glaze on top and let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use as a topping during baking and again after for best flavor and appearance.
  • Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge up to 5 days.
