A sweet, tangy, and savory glaze that caramelizes beautifully over meatloaf, adding flavor and a shiny finish.
Ingredients
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp onion powder (optional)
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together all glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Spoon or brush half the glaze over meatloaf during the last 20–30 minutes of baking.
- After baking, brush remaining glaze on top and let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use as a topping during baking and again after for best flavor and appearance.
- Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge up to 5 days.
- Pairs well with classic, turkey, or plant-based meatloafs.
