Description

Marry Me Chicken is a creamy and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a sun-dried tomato and Parmesan cream sauce. It’s a rich, comforting meal perfect for date nights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil), drained and chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and let simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for another 5–7 minutes until the chicken is heated through and the sauce has thickened to your liking.
  7. Garnish with chopped basil and serve hot over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
  • Can be made with chicken thighs if preferred.
