Description

A rich and creamy maple-flavored fudge made with simple ingredients, perfect for a sweet treat or holiday gift.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the maple syrup, heavy cream, butter, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Continue boiling until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (about 236°F / 113°C) on a candy thermometer.
  5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool without stirring until it reaches about 110°F (43°C).
  6. Add the vanilla extract and beat the mixture with a wooden spoon until it thickens and loses its gloss.
  7. Quickly pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Let it set at room temperature for several hours or until firm.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use only pure maple syrup for best flavor.
  • Be patient while beating – it’s key to achieving the right texture.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
