A simple and delicious recipe for homemade chocolate bars using just a few basic ingredients. Perfect for a sweet treat or gifting.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, dried fruits, sea salt
Instructions
- Line a small baking pan or silicone mold with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder and salt.
- Add the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared mold or pan.
- Sprinkle optional toppings over the chocolate, if using.
- Place in the freezer for about 1 hour or until firm.
- Once set, break or cut into bars and store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use silicone molds for easy removal of chocolate bars.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by increasing or decreasing the sweetener.
- Store chocolate bars in a cool place or refrigerator to avoid melting.
