- 1 cup cooked white rice (preferably warm)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tsp butter or oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat butter or oil in a small pan over medium heat.
- Crack the egg into the pan and cook to your preferred doneness (fried or scrambled).
- Place the warm cooked rice in a bowl.
- Top the rice with the cooked egg.
- Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the top.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix everything together before eating for best flavor.
Notes
- You can add kimchi, seaweed, or a dash of gochujang for extra flavor.
- Using day-old rice can improve texture and absorption of flavors.
- This dish can be easily doubled or tripled for more servings.
