Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Stir in soy sauce or coconut aminos.
  7. Add halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and stir well to combine with the beef mixture.

  9. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for a lighter option.
  • Add a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice for brightness.
  • Top with shredded cheese or a fried egg for added richness.
