- Prepare the pan: Rub the bottom and sides of a 9×13 inch pan with butter to prevent sticking. Using one end of a stick of butter makes this easy. Set the pan aside.
- Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the miniature marshmallows and stir continuously until they are completely melted and smooth.
- Combine cereal and marshmallow mixture: Remove the pan from heat and immediately pour in the Fruity Pebbles cereal. Stir quickly and thoroughly to coat all the cereal with the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Press mixture into pan: Pour the cereal mixture into the prepared pan. With your fingers dampened with cool water, spread the mixture evenly across the pan, pressing it down firmly to compact and create uniform thickness.
- Set and serve: Allow the Fruity Pebbles Treats to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to firm up before cutting into squares and serving.
