- 8 Fresno peppers
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the Fresno peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the Fresno peppers with the cheese and bacon mixture.
- Place the stuffed peppers on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Optional: Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For a milder version, remove more of the seeds and membranes from the peppers.
- Feel free to substitute the cheddar cheese with any other cheese of your choice.
- If you prefer extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the filling.
