Description

Fresh Strawberry Yum Yum is a classic Southern no-bake dessert layered with a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy filling, and sweet strawberries for a light and refreshing treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, then cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  5. Fold in whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  6. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  7. Layer with sliced strawberries evenly on top of the filling.
  8. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
  9. If using, warm the strawberry jam slightly and drizzle over the top for added flavor and shine.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh strawberries with frozen, but thaw and drain them well.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped pecans to the crust.
  • Make ahead a day early for better flavor melding.
