Description

Fireworks Blondies are chewy dessert bars loaded with festive red, white, and blue candies and sprinkles, perfect for patriotic holidays like the 4th of July.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates (such as M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Whisk in eggs and vanilla until fully incorporated.
  4. Add salt, baking powder, and flour. Stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in sprinkles and candy-coated chocolates, reserving some for topping.
  6. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and sprinkle reserved candies and sprinkles on top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and center is set.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra gooey blondies, remove from oven when slightly underbaked in the center.
  • You can use other seasonal candy colors for different holidays.
  • Blondies store well at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
