Description

This refreshing Easy Melon Cooler is a hydrating and healthy beverage made with honeydew melon, Persian cucumbers, lime juice and zest, fresh mint, and a hint of kosher salt. Perfect for hot days, it’s blended to frothy perfection, strained for smoothness, and served chilled for a revitalizing treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium honeydew, de-seeded and cubed
  • 3 Persian cucumbers, roughly chopped
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tbsp lime zest (about 1 medium lime)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Blend everything: Add the honeydew, Persian cucumbers, lime juice and zest, fresh mint leaves, kosher salt, and water into a high-speed blender. Blend on medium-high speed for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture is frothy and well combined.
  2. Strain and store: Pour the blended mixture through a nut milk bag or fine mesh sieve into a large bowl to strain out pulp and seeds, achieving a smooth liquid. Transfer the strained melon cooler into a glass jar and refrigerate. Serve chilled and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Using a high-speed blender ensures the ingredients blend smoothly and become frothy.
  • Straining removes pulp for a lighter, more refreshing drink, but you can skip this step if you prefer a thicker texture.
  • The cooler can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; stir well before serving as separation may occur.
  • Add ice cubes when serving for extra chill.
  • For added sweetness, you can mix in a small amount of honey or agave syrup, though the melon should provide natural sweetness.
