Description

Easy chimichurri sauce is a vibrant, herbaceous Argentinian condiment made with fresh parsley, garlic, olive oil, and vinegar. Perfect for grilled meats, vegetables, or as a marinade.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano (or 2 tsp dried oregano)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine chopped parsley, garlic, and oregano.
  2. Stir in red wine vinegar, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Slowly whisk in olive oil until well combined.
  4. Add lemon juice if using, and adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
