Description
Easy chimichurri sauce is a vibrant, herbaceous Argentinian condiment made with fresh parsley, garlic, olive oil, and vinegar. Perfect for grilled meats, vegetables, or as a marinade.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh oregano (or 2 tsp dried oregano)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine chopped parsley, garlic, and oregano.
- Stir in red wine vinegar, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Slowly whisk in olive oil until well combined.
- Add lemon juice if using, and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Bring to room temperature before serving for best flavor.
