Description

Quick and flavorful chicken tacos made with seasoned chicken, fresh toppings, and soft tortillas. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or 2 tablespoons homemade seasoning)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add shredded chicken to the skillet and stir in taco seasoning and water.
  3. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is well-coated and heated through.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. Spoon seasoned chicken onto each tortilla.
