Description

This easy chicken noodle casserole is the perfect comfort food, loaded with tender chicken, hearty noodles, and a creamy sauce, all baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, noodles, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, cheese, peas and carrots, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a time-saving shortcut.
  • You can substitute cream of mushroom soup if preferred.
  • Add extra vegetables like corn or green beans for variety.
