Scale
Ingredients
- 1 cup dill pickle juice (strained)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
- A few drops of green food coloring (optional)
- Gummy worm molds or silicone ice cube trays
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the dill pickle juice and sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely to create a smooth base.
- Add Gelatin: Slowly sprinkle the gelatin over the liquid while whisking constantly to prevent clumping. Continue stirring for 3–5 minutes until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture becomes smooth.
- Add Food Coloring: If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture to enhance the gummy worms’ appearance.
- Cool Mixture: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the gelatin mixture cool slightly to avoid melting the molds or creating bubbles.
- Fill Molds: Carefully pour the mixture into gummy worm molds or silicone ice cube trays, filling each cavity evenly.
- Chill: Transfer the molds to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until the gummy worms are fully set and firm to the touch.
- Unmold and Store: Carefully remove the gummy worms from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
Notes
