Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine work well)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then add to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce slightly for 2–3 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta, chicken, and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
