- 1 lb cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Remove excess bacon grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the skillet. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until just tender.
- Add the peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked tortellini and bacon to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through. Serve warm.

- Use turkey bacon for a lighter version.
- Fresh or frozen peas work well.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream to reduce fat.
