Description

Indulge in this elegant Coffee Panna Cotta, a silky, creamy dessert infused with rich cold brew coffee. Perfect for coffee lovers, this no-bake treat combines smooth heavy cream, subtle sweetness, and a gentle coffee aroma, set to a luscious, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold brew coffee
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Warm the Cream and Sugar: In a saucepan over low heat, gently warm the heavy cream and sugar, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  2. Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over 1/4 cup cold water. Let it sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to absorb the water and soften (bloom).
  3. Combine Gelatin and Coffee with Cream: Add the bloomed gelatin mixture and cold brew coffee to the warm cream mixture. Stir constantly until the gelatin dissolves fully and the mixture is homogeneous and smooth.
  4. Chill to Set: Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual ramekins or molds. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or until the dessert is completely set and firm to the touch.
  5. Unmold and Serve: To serve, briefly dip the bottoms of the ramekins in warm water for a few seconds to loosen the panna cotta. Invert onto serving plates and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use cold brew coffee for a smooth, rich coffee flavor without bitterness.
  • Do not boil the cream mixture to prevent curdling and ensure the gelatin sets properly.
  • If preferred, substitute sugar with a sugar alternative for a lower glycemic index.
  • For an added touch, garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder before serving.
  • Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved to avoid any grainy texture.
