Description

Cinnamon Streusel Muffins are soft and tender with a warm cinnamon flavor and a sweet, crumbly streusel topping—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Streusel Topping:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease well.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil (or butter), eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  6. To make streusel, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly. Sprinkle over muffin batter.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • Add chopped nuts to the streusel for extra crunch.
  • Store muffins in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
