Description
Classic chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and loaded with gooey chocolate chips. Perfect for any occasion or sweet craving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are still soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Use a mix of milk and dark chocolate chips for extra flavor.
