A flavorful and versatile chicken thigh marinade that makes the meat tender, juicy, and packed with bold, savory flavors—perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Place chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over the chicken.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2–8 hours for deeper flavor.
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard any leftover marinade.
- Grill, bake, or pan-sear chicken thighs until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate overnight.
- You can use bone-in chicken thighs, but adjust cooking time accordingly.
- Reserve some marinade before adding chicken if you want to use it as a sauce later (boil before serving).
