- 2 lbs ground chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 6 oz sliced deli ham
- 6 oz sliced Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Place half the chicken mixture into the loaf pan and flatten it evenly.
- Layer the ham slices over the chicken mixture, then layer the Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
- Top with the remaining chicken mixture, smoothing it over to seal the filling inside.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute turkey for chicken if desired.
- Use freshly shredded Swiss cheese for best melting and flavor.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
