Description

A savory, cheesy bread loaf filled with spinach and melted cheese—ideal as a snack, appetizer, or party treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian or French bread (about 16 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 oz fresh spinach, chopped (or use frozen thawed and squeezed dry)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. Slice the bread lengthwise, keeping one side intact to form a pocket, then hollow out some of the inside to make room for filling.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted; remove from heat and let cool.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, cooked spinach–garlic mixture, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until well blended.
  6. Spoon the cheese–spinach mixture into the bread pocket, pressing gently to fill evenly.
  7. Wrap the stuffed bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Unwrap and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until cheese is bubbly and top is lightly golden.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use frozen spinach—just be sure to thaw and squeeze out excess moisture.
  • Add cooked bacon bits or sun‑dried tomatoes for flavor variations.
  • For a crispier crust, unwrap during the final bake.
