Scale
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the shrimp and buttermilk. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, add cornstarch. Dredge the marinated shrimp in the cornstarch, coating evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer over medium-high heat.
- Fry the shrimp in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, rice vinegar, and garlic powder to make the Bang Bang sauce.
- Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve on a bed of lettuce leaves and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- Adjust Sriracha for desired spice level.
- Can be served as an appetizer or over rice for a main dish.
- For a healthier version, bake or air fry the shrimp instead of deep-frying.
