Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Toppings and Garnish (Optional)
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded mozzarella
- Chopped green onions or parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the baking dish. Set your oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish using olive oil or nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
- Season the chicken. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika evenly on both sides to ensure a well-seasoned flavor.
- Place chicken in the baking dish. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts neatly in the prepared dish for even cooking.
- Make the buffalo sauce mixture. In a small bowl, combine the buffalo wing sauce with melted butter and stir thoroughly to blend the flavors and add richness.
- Coat the chicken with sauce. Pour the buffalo butter sauce over the chicken breasts, turning each piece so all sides are well coated with the spicy mixture.
- Bake the chicken. Place the dish uncovered in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, ensuring the chicken is cooked through and juicy.
- Add cheese topping (optional). If using, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese or shredded mozzarella over the chicken during the last 5 minutes of baking to allow it to melt slightly.
- Serve and garnish. Remove the chicken from the oven, spoon some of the pan sauce over each piece, and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley for a fresh finish.
Notes
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, or over rice or salad for a complete meal.
- You can substitute boneless skinless chicken thighs for an extra juicy alternative.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce according to your preferred spice level.
