Description

Festive and easy-to-make chocolate covered strawberries decorated in red, white, and blue for the 4th of July celebration.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1/2 cup blue sanding sugar or blue sprinkles
  • Red and blue candy melts (optional, for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted white chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the berry.
  4. Immediately dip the bottom third of the chocolate-coated strawberry into the blue sanding sugar or sprinkles.
  5. Place the strawberry on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with remaining berries.
  6. If using candy melts, melt red and blue melts separately and drizzle over strawberries using a fork or piping bag.
  7. Allow strawberries to set at room temperature or place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to harden.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere better.
  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best taste and appearance.
  • Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve, but best enjoyed the same day.
